About Me

me

I am 9,612 a days old geek obsessed with programming.

I think that my passion has started with Lego® blocks. Most of you might think that Lego has nothing to do with programming, however by playing with it you are building up your creativness and develop logical thinking. In addition it shows you how to construct and connect differnet components - crucial skill in software development.

The next must have been Logo. I know, I know it sounds almost like Lego, however there is a huge difference :) Back in the days Logo was - usually - the first programming language taught in primary schools.

By the time I have finished primary school I knew basics of HTML. I have extended this knowledge during my time spent at Technical High School of Communication in Krakow. HTML was followed by CSS, next JavaScript and finally PHP which than lead to SQL. All the web technologies that allowed me to create various projects. I have been responsible for creating few small websites for varoius companies.

During my studies at AGH University in Krakow I have learned more about other programming languages and communication protocols. I have been able to play with PLC's, Modbus, TCP/IP, C++, Perl and various types of software design.

At the same time I was working as a Software Developer for small company iVision.pl. It hepled me to improve my web skills and introduced me to professional software engineering.

I have finished my undergrad degree in early 2009. Right after that I have left the old continent to continue my adventure in the U.S.A.

Currently I hold a position of Development Manager at Tantus Networks small but quickly developing company that provides friendly work atmosphere and interesting projects. During my time spent with company I have learned a lot - I have been able to explore varoius API's, Payment Gateways and technologies like SOAP, SNMP, XML and REST. Thanks I have also decided to continue my education and soon I will finish my education at Illinois Instutitue of Technology.

Recently I have started exploring Obejctive-C. It will allow me to develop iPhone and iPad apps. First has been almost finished and soon it will be available in App Store.

I am sure that that there is a lot ahead of me ... so revisit this site for updates :)
